I noticed a person who appeared to be botting or using a speed program earlier and when I looked at her stats I noticed she started in Durem with 125774, so I went searching for her original name. I really like how the portal only shows the current top 50, but I wanted to find out if I had already reported the person... After a bit of searching through the Durem bucket history I found the orignal name.

If there would be a way to search by score that would be awesome. It would make finding people's name changes much easier. Not something super important though. It can just take a lot of clicking through the Lake History to find the person, assuming they changed their name shortly after finishing their last bucket...

I think maybe I'll start keeping a notepad with User IDs listed next to the names I am/have reported for now...

To see everyone, including name changes, click "extended" in any rankings list. This will compile the rankings from the bucket database, just like the old system did.

When "Main Search" is implemented, you will be able to search with score as a parameter (it will be more or less the same as the old search cause I'm running out of time; aka searching through buckets).

When "Admin Change Name" is implemented mods/admins will be able to search for a person by their gaia userid (which doesn't change) and optionally update all the buckets of some person to their new name. Trophies already relates names; as long as their userid is the same it will pull out their previous trophies to either of their names.

I think I might also implement a script that runs weekly, and retrieves all ranked people's usernames, compares them to userids in the DB, and automatically changes their names.

Note: In order to save people's avatars, and be able to link to their profiles, I already save their IDS in the DB (it has about 8,000 right now).

Its just that my dev status bar, and sometimes link names are confusing They make perfect sense to me, but that doesn't help you much!

I'm hoping to get far enough along on Portal this weekend to get to implementing tooltips and better help.

Ok, as a temporary stopgap for ya, until I get the real name changer done, you can now paste a gaia userid into the quicksearch box and it will hunt for anyone in my DB with that usernumber. Note, though, that this isn't too useful yet as I don't grab people for my gaia db as they are ranked; they are only grabbed when you view an image of them.

The character name tracking, as well as bucket search, are completed. Hopefully this works well
