Looks really good!

Give the image a cursor: pointer though for consistency.

What's not good is the lag it causes. Both Red HOOD Warrior and I noticed problems with it at least. One little image tag shouldn't be spiking my CPU usage to 100%, so I assume it's something to do with the transparency. >_<

Hmmm.... is it at 100% consistently?

On my comp, with the script on, it takes the first cpu to 20ish% and the second to 5% while loading. After loading it stays at 1ish% and 0%, regardless of clicking/doing anything else.

Tested with script disabled and seems to be identical, maybe a windows problem? Popping over to check now.

Edit: In windows it spikes both CPUs to 100%, then down to 3-5% on first and 0% on second. Both with and without script :/

You should be able to set the mode to opaque and still have it work. With transparent all html elements will "show through", with opaque it will act more like you expect (things z-indexed behind it will be behind it, those in front will still show).

Making it opaque seems to have worked on my end. Which is very good, because I found I simply couldn't fish with the script on before - it lagged so terribly that I was losing pebbo.

Now to move on to next project~
